FAQs

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a full-body movement system designed to build strength, flexibility, and control from the inside out. Using a combination of mat work and specialized equipment, it hones in on your deepest core muscles to improve posture, balance, and overall functional fitness. It's smart, intentional movement that benefits everyone—from athletes to those seeking relief from everyday aches and pains.

is pilates for me?

If you have a body, you can do Pilates. Seriously! Pilates is a movement practice for every body, regardless of age, fitness level, or background. The exercises are easily modified and progressed, so you can start exactly where you are and build from there. Whether your goal is to stand taller, alleviate back pain, or simply feel stronger, Pilates is for you.

What does “classical” mean?

"Classical" means we're sticking to the original recipe. This is the authentic method designed by Joseph Pilates himself. It's a system with a specific order of exercises and a strong focus on precision, control, and flow. While other styles might borrow from this method, Classical Pilates honors the original practice and its proven results for building a strong, resilient body.

I'm pregnant. Can I still do Pilates?

Yes, absolutely! Pilates is widely recommended as a safe and effective form of exercise during and after pregnancy. It helps strengthen the core and pelvic floor, which can ease discomfort and prepare your body for childbirth. It's a great way to stay strong and connected to your body. However, it's best to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise program.

How often should I do Pilates?

Consistency is key! While some people practice every day, starting with 1 -2 sessions a week is a great way to build strength and see results. The most important thing is to listen to your body and find a rhythm that works for your life. Remember, a little bit of movement often is better than a lot of movement rarely.
